Today I want to introduce which parts of a lowbed trailer should be reinforced to increase its the loading capacity and service life, by using TITAN 3 Axles 60 Ton Lowbed Trailer as an Example.
1. Main Beam Reinforcement
There are vertical plate reinforcements to the main beam. Due to the special design, the main beams are not hollowed out, which greatly enhance the trailer’s loading capacity and service life.
2. Gooseneck Reinforcement
The bottom plate of the main beam’s gooseneck part is reinforced by double plates, so the trailer deformation is small when carrying heavy load, which is better for use.
3. Inclined Supports Reinforcement
The inclined Supports are made of high-strength steel HG60 with a thickness of 6mm. The inclined supports of 60 tons of side beams and below adopt G-shape fold bending technology, which is more stronger and powerful than normal C-shape. These inclined Supports effectively connect the main beams and side beams together into a whole. Bearing capacity and anti-bumpiness performance are greatly enhanced, and the service life is more than 10 years.
4. The tire hollow position Reinforcement
The tire hollow positions under the side beams of Titan lowbed trailer are reinforced by two whole plates.
PK: Other factories: Their tire positions are reinforced individually. However, this kind of design has its weaknesses: the first one is not beautiful to look at; the second one is it is unsolid and not durable. The height of side beam here narrows down.
The side beams are easy to deform when the trailer transporting heavy-duty equipment like large scale crawler excavator. In addition, the side beam will not recover to its normal position. The deformation of side beams may abrade tires, which will lead to the disabled vehicle.
5. Ladder Reinforcement
The strong and durable ladder is formed by welding high strength steel H60, with reinforcement by 4 pieces of high strength steel plates, which has strong bearing capacity and can effectively ensure the passing of heavy excavator and other heavy equipment without deformation or damage to the spring ladders. We use high-quality spring, so one person can easily operate ladder descent and lifting.
6. Suspension Reinforcement
We use the reinforced suspension on our trailer, 70mm center balance pin. We use the reinforced suspension on our trailer, 70mm center balance pin. Considering dirt road and poor road conditions in some countries, the suspension is specially designed with reinforcements in front and rear, and left and right sides.
For some other factories, they use the light type suspension, the center pin is only 45mm, will lead to the shorter service life and serious tire wear.
Leaf Spring: thickened leaf spring
We use the thickened 16mm leaf spring, after loading the excavator, the deformation is small.
The above are the introductions to our reinforcements. Hope it is useful!
Looking forward to your reply!
Thanks & Best Regards
